Getting to and from the Airport
The San Antonio International
Airport is approximately 8.5 miles from the downtown business district.
Time to the downtown business district is approximately 15 minutes. Two
to six people ride for the price of one. Approximate fares to the
downtown business district range from $24 - $26, not including tips.
Large minivans are also available and can transport up to 7 passengers
downtown.
Shuttle
Book your airport shuttle in advance to take advantage of discounts. Go to
www.visitsanantonio.com (Click on plan, Getting Around) to reserve your shuttle. If you
don't make reservations in advance follow the signs in the baggage
claim area to purchase shuttle service tickets. Shuttle
service to the downtown area is $18 one way or $32 roundtrip.
Taxi
Two to six people ride for the price of one. San Antonio offers multiple
taxi services.

Getting Around While You're Here
Streetcar
Downtown travel is a breeze on the Trolley, an open air,
authentic reproduction of a rail streetcar which traveled the streets
of San Antonio more than 50 years ago. Four streetcar routes stop at
top sights like the Alamo, the Spanish Governor's Palace, La Villita,
Sunset Station, the Southwest School of Art and Craft, the Institute of
Texan Cultures, the King William Historic District and downtown
shopping. The downtown streetcar station at Convention Plaza provides
convenient access for travelers. Buy a
One Day Passfor $3.75.
Order your pass online or stop by the
Downtown Information Centeror one of the
outlet centers. When you get in town, pick up a
streetcar brochure in your hotel lobby.
River Taxi
The River Taxi stops at 39
locations on the River Walk. Purchase a one-way pass for $4, 24-hour
pass for $10 or a 3-day pass, $25. Look for the river
cruiser with the black and yellow checkered flag.
The Sightseer Special Bus
The Sightseer Special (Bus
7) runs daily between the city's favorite sites. You can see them
all for one price. Locations visited by the Sightseer
Special include: River Walk Streetcar Station, Henry B. Gonzalez
Convention Center, Alamo, San Antonio Museum of Art, Japanese Tea
Garden, Brackenridge Park , San Antonio Zoo, Trinity University,
University of the Incarnate Word, Witte Museum and San Antonio
Botanical Garden.
